STORIES FROM A RECENT 3-month USA TRIP (shipped bike over from Australia)

Leaving Sedona, a light welcome rain came as a surprise , but was so nice. Leaving Sedona is as spectacular as arriving. So backtracking out and onto some very Iconic places including a part of Route 66. Stopping off at Willaims and Seligman is a must do and a bite to eat at the “Road Kill Café “ we met some other international travellers from France and other European countries. We are all one community when on motorbikes. It’s instant friendship. Williams is known as the gateway to Grand Canyon NP and Seligman as the birthplace of Historic Route 66 .

Onto Vegas and a stop at Hoover Dam was spectacular. The dark rock formation is strange and beautiful. Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona.

We had 4 days in Vegas. a much-needed break after 2 months of continuous riding.

Vegas is Vegas and I don’t need to tell you about this place. I’ve been 5 times.. and I love it. I had an appearance booked with Main Street Moto who had a bike night and I did a show and tell plus a makeover. It was so much fun and a great night. Thanks Tara and Penny and the entire team! A new back trye was also fitted on Calamity from the guys at Main st Moto

A day ride about including Red Rock Canyon.. where in the middle of nowhere a truck stops and out jumps a keen follower of mine. Roland!” Of all the Gin Joints….. “it was a truly special moment. Red Rock Canyon is an area of worldwide geologic interest and spectacular.

Vegas was hot as usual. It was nice to be a tourist on foot for a couple of days.

The video of the Main St Moto Bike night and Red Rock Canyon is already public on my YouTube channel as Episode 60 ( I can’t add links in posts I do but you can find me easy. search Barberingbiker )… just a reminder the entire trips videos of which there are 70 episodes will be released every Tuesday and Friday from Jan 2024..
