Sheba dams is located 11 kilometres east of Nundle, past the picturesque village of Hanging Rock.- The dams were built by hand in 1888 to provide water for gold mining operations in the Hanging Rock and Nundle areas.
located not far from the city of Tamworth, in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia.
This was after a barbering biker stint in Nundle and i had a crack at camping here ( 5 min out of town ) as i made my way to Tamworth (40 odd min from this spot) to pick up my little trailer .. this then took all the crap i had on the back of the bike and made for an easier ride for the next week or two as i ventured further afield and more Barbering Biker gigs in towns along the way
the ride is so much easier pulling a trailer than lugging all this crap on the bike .. it’s a packhorse for sure and i’m sure will upset a few camping purists who manage to travel light . ( i also carry a fair bit of gear in regards to computers , cameras , barbering stuff etc - don’t judge me too quick 🙏🏼🙏🏼)
Nundle is a terrific spot and i must say the best meat pies i’ve ever had can be found at the peel inn .. nothing has ever come close !!
